Our sunny, versatile space is warm and inviting. We're located on the third floor of the original YWCA of Aurora, Illinois, built in 1911. With gorgeous views of the Fox River, many people find themselves gazing out the huge windows during our workshops and retreats. There's access to the Fox River Trail just outside, perfect for a walk during a retreat during warmer months. Located on Downer Place, we're right across the street from our favorite coffeehouse, Tredwell, as well as Wyckwood House, where you can find some of our merchandise.
During some events, we have up to four round tables set up so you have space to set your mug of coffee and write. Other events, we simply have rows of chairs to invite more in for a great seminar. For our contemplative prayer practices, we put away all the tables, pull out chairs and yoga blankets, and turn down the lights so we can stretch out and get comfortable for our prayer practices.
We want The Perch to be a resting place where you can land for a time of respite, relaxation, and recharging before you take off again and continue to soar. And like any comfy perch, we hope you'll return often.
